I had bad credit before because someone screwed with my credit, I repaired it a bit, it’s in recovery and I have a student loan and car loan I pay timely—Those chopped liver?
What card should I get for my first credit card? And why do I have to have one—I couldn’t get one before, so how was I able to build one?

Thanks for RESPA mark some very useful information on the web site. Also thanks to the 5 year broker for your statement as well.
Nope I never paid them anything. I had receieved the good faith estimate and a payment was due after receiving the good faith estimate to get things down to the underwriters and start the loan process. Then we became aware that the lender could not meet the deadline so we switched.
